Strikethrough text
C̶r̶o̶s̶s̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ text that you can paste anywhere.
How to use
- Type the text you want to decorate.
- Choose strikethrough, underline or tilde overlay.
- Copy the result — the line travels with the text wherever you paste it.
Frequently asked questions
How does it work without formatting?
Each character is followed by a Unicode combining mark (an overlay stroke or low line) that renders on top of it. It is text, not styling, so it survives pasting.
Why does it sometimes look broken in certain apps?
Rendering of combining marks varies by font. Most modern platforms display them cleanly; a few older ones show slight misalignment.
Does it work with emoji?
The stroke attaches to any non-space character, including emoji, though the visual result on emoji depends on the platform's renderer.
About this tool
Strikethrough says something without deleting it: a corrected price (₹999 → 499), a joke built on a "redacted" thought, a task crossed off a list, a transparent edit to an earlier statement. Most platforms have no strikethrough button, so this tool builds the effect with combining characters — each letter is followed by an invisible overlay stroke, making the result copy-paste-safe ordinary text. Three variants are included: the classic long stroke, an u̲n̲d̲e̲r̲l̲i̲n̲e̲ for emphasis without crossing out, and a wavy t̴i̴l̴d̴e̴ overlay for a glitchy look.
